Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Armenia Nora Arisyan  stated on April 24 in a conversation with journalists in Tsitsernakaberd.  She recalled that Syria recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2020, and the context of this recognition was presented by the Syria-Armenia Friendship  Commission.

ArmInfo.Today, April 24, marks the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide committed in Ottoman  Turkey in 1915. Today, Armenians all over the world pay tribute to the memory of the Holy Martyrs. On this day in Armenia, citizens bring flowers to the Memorial Complex in Tsitsernakaberd in order to  pay tribute to the innocent victims of the first mass murder of people based on ethnicity in human history.

ArmInfo. Moscow once again emphasizes the 'complete ineffectiveness of the EU presence' in  Armenia in terms of preventing incidents 'on the ground'. This was stated on April 18 during a weekly briefing by official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in response to a request to comment on the start of activities of the representative of Canada in the EU Civilian Mission in Armenia  (EUMA). According to her, Moscow has already commented on this issue.

"The Armenian National Committee of Canada expresses deep concern over recent reports suggesting that Canada may lift its arms embargo on Turkey as part of a larger deal to appease the Turkish regime in exchange for approval of Sweden's accession to NATO. This potential move is particularly troubling in light of Canada's recent history with arms exports to Turkey," the Armenian National Committee of Canada said in a statement.

ArmInfo.The Government of Armenia intends to legally regulate the activities of museums. At the  plenary meeting on January 16, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia approved in the first reading the draft law "On Museums" and amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses.
